Pleshette attended The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater under Sanford Meisner. She started off as a stage actor with over 100 credits in acting to her credit. One of her most well-known roles came starring in the role of Emily Hartley in the TV show The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. In 1989 Pleshette starred as Christine Broderick in the series Nightingales. In 1994 and in 1995 she played Jackie Hansen on the TV series The Boys Are Back. Pleshette was a regular in the TV series Suzanne Pleshette Is Maggie Briggs, Good Morning, Miami, 8 Simple Rules, as well as Will & Grace. She also appeared as a character in The Geisha Boy and The Birds. She voiced in The Lion King II Simba's Pride was rewarded with the Annie Award nomination. Pleshette is nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards. In 2008, she won a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Suzanne Pleshette died on 19 January 2008, at the age of 70.
