Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and older Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing in the early years together with her mom. The formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
